Belonging at DTF
At DTF, inclusive teams deliver stronger outcomes for South Australia. You’ll work alongside colleagues with diverse perspectives, skills and experiences - where contribution is valued and different ways of thinking strengthen how we solve the state’s most complex challenges.
The department is a signatory to the South Australian Government’s Autism Inclusion Charter, Multicultural Charter and Anti-Racism Strategy. In addition, the department has developed our own plans that outline the measurable actions we will undertake in a range of other areas such as our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), Disability, Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and Gender Equity and Respect. We are also White Ribbon accredited and constantly work to make these commitments real in how we work together.
Inclusion here is active. People connect through shared experiences, support one another, and contribute to a culture where everyone can participate, grow and perform at their best.
Because when people feel they belong, they do their best work, and together, we can achieve more.

Ready to do work that matters more than you can imagine?
At DTF, connection strengthens how we work and support one another.
You’ll have the opportunity to be part of employee-led networks that bring people together through shared experiences and perspectives. These groups create space to connect, contribute and build a stronger sense of belonging across the organisation.
Our employee networks and working groups include the Equity Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, Disability Inclusion Network, Nunga Network, and the Reconciliation Working Group. Open to all employees, they provide opportunities to share insights, support one another and help shape a more inclusive workplace.
There are many other opportunities to connect: from participating at the annual International Women’s Day breakfast, attending our Reconciliation week events, supporting our Christmas Toy Drive for Aboriginal Family Support Services, supporting our Catherine House Mobile Phone Donation Program, attending our disability, access and inclusion events or representing DTF at Adelaide’s Pride Event.
Stronger connections build stronger teams – and that means better outcomes for all South Australians.
