National PPP Guidelines

South Australia and all the other Australian States came together in 2008 to adopt the Infrastructure Australia National PPP Policy and Guidelines which aim to create a national market, via a consistent and coordinated approach to PPP procurement. This includes the development of standardised documents and contracts, promotion of inter-jurisdictional conversation on PPP matters, and the creation of a well-developed national PPP market.

The National PPP Policy and Guidelines effectively replace the former Partnerships SA guidance material as the primary reference material for PPP projects. The National PPP Guidelines are available on the Infrastructure website.

DTF’s role in PPP’s

Under the National Guidelines, the South Australian Treasurer is the lead Minister for all South Australian PPPs. As such, DTF has responsibility for PPP policy and general oversight, with a particular focus on commercial and financial matters such as refinancings, assessing changes in control of a private sector partner, and on contractual matters with a financial or commercial dimension.
